Av. Gonca Tekeli hakkında
Att. Gonca Tekeli, was born in 1981 in Denizli. She studied law with a full scholarship from the Turkish Council of Higher Education in Yeditepe University and graduated with 3rd degree graduation honors in 2003. At the end of 2004, Gonca Tekeli completed her law internship in İstanbul Bar and admitted to the Bar at 2004.
She has started her career at Legal Consultancy department of T. Garanti Bank, which is one of the leading banks in Turkey and continued with prestigious law firms in Istanbul, namely ASC attorney partnership and Birsel Law Firm. Gonca Tekeli has continued her legal practice as independent practitioner since 2011 and giving legal assistance to Istanbul Branch of Matur & Ökten & Karayel Keßler Law Office since 2017.
During her legal experience, Gonca mainly advised foreign clients on commercial and corporate law matters, company establishment process and corporate house keeping works, loan transactions, consultation on finance documentation and structuring, drafting and perfection of Turkish security documents, drafting of a broad range of corporate documents, agreements and legal opinions and exercise of due diligence reviews. Gonca’s practice also covers representing various international and local banks in their multinational dealings in relation to Turkish market. She has dealt with proposed privatization of electricity distribution companies, acquisition of energy transactions focused companies and associated project finance transactions and further worked on company establishment, especially with foreign shareholding, process, preparation of the documentation pertaining to general assembly and board of directors meetings of capital stock companies, including banks, dealt with share transfer transactions in several types of companies, de-merger and other corporate transactions.
She has also engaged with negotiation and documentation of agreements, preparation of legal opinions and conditions precedent documents of loan agreements in addition to dealing with legal research, preparation of memorandums. Gonca has participated to due diligence process in several projects and preparation of the due diligence reports, drafting and negotiation of SPAs. Dealing with land acquisition and construction projects, land acquisitions, construction related matters and obtainment of governmental permits are also within the expertise of Gonca.
